Feasibility and Applicability of Infectious Disease Response Recommendations for Child Care and Educational Institutions Using Delphi Technique

Abstract

|
The purpose of this study is to present recommendations for response to infectious diseases in child care and educational institutions. For this, we developed a delphi survey questionnaire through focus group interviews with 20 experts who had experience in responding to infectious disease, and reviewed the literature related to the response of infectious diseases in child care and educational institutions. The delphi survey was conducted twice for a total of 30 people, including 10 directors and 10 teachers in child care and educational institutions, and 10 infection control expert who had experience in responding to infectious diseases in hospitals. After delphi survey, interquartile range, mean value, standard deviation, median, and content validity ratio (CVR) were analyzed. As a result, we completed a total of 168 recommendations in three areas¡©infectious disease prevention and control principles; daily infection control; infection control during infectious disease outbreaksin order to better respond to infectious diseases in child care and educational institutions.
